A Study of Performance Evaluation for Textile and Garment Enterprises

Vietnam’s textile and garment enterprises make an important contribution to the country with second largest export turnover. The existence development of have a significant influence on socioeconomic Vietnam. Currently, industry is facing difficulties caused by COVID-19 pandemic, along competition from foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises. Therefore, it imperative for managers assess competitiveness measuring their past current performance indicators. This study assesses 10 2017 2020 combining DEA–Malmquist productivity index (MPI) epsilon-based measure (EBM) model. proposed model considered three inputs (total assets, cost goods sold, liabilities) two outputs revenue gross profit). In addition showing best-performing companies certain aspects during period (2017–2020), results show that EBM method combined Malmquist in field can be successfully applied. reference identify position improve operational efficiency overcome weaknesses.
